Vice President and presidential candidate of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, has cast his vote in the 2024 general election.
He voted this morning at the Kperiga D/A Primary School polling station in Walewale, North East Region, shortly after 8:00 am.
Dr. Bawumia, who arrived in his hometown on Friday night ahead of the election, is running for president for the first time, seeking to succeed President Akufo-Addo after serving as Vice President for the past eight years.
After casting his ballot, he expressed confidence in his chances, stating, “A victory is a victory.”
His running mate, Matthew Opoku Prempeh, also voted this morning at Manhyia South. Both candidates appeared confident in their white attire, hopeful for a successful outcome by the end of the election process.
