A poll conducted by Global InfoAnalytics from October 28 to November 2, 2024, reveals a decisive lead for the main opposition leader, John Dramani Mahama (JDM), over the ruling party’s candidate, current Vice President Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia (DMB), just 32 days before the upcoming elections.
The survey indicates that Mahama garners 52.7% of voter support compared to Bawumia’s 40.1%.
This shift in voter sentiment suggests a potential shift in power, as Mahama appears poised to reclaim the presidency.
Meanwhile, Nana Kwame Bediako (NKB), leader of the New Force party, commands 4.0% of the votes, while Alan Kwadwo Kyerematen (AKK) of the Movement for Change secures 1.5%.
The poll results indicate that NKB has begun to lose momentum after a significant rise in popularity earlier this election cycle.
The polling average for the fourth week of November shows Mahama at 52.5%, Bawumia at 40.2%, Bediako at 4.9%, Kyerematen at 1.7%, and other candidates collectively at 0.7%.
These numbers reflect a challenging landscape for Bawumia, who faces mounting pressure to close the gap as election day approaches.
With the electorate increasingly leaning towards Mahama, the dynamics of the race could shift dramatically in the coming weeks, making this election a critical moment for both major parties.
