Renowned Ghanaian journalist and CEO of Kofi TV, Kofi Adomah Nwanwani, is undergoing specialized treatment in Dubai after sustaining severe injuries to his eyes during a traditional funeral in Dormaa, Bono Region.
The incident occurred last week when gunpowder from a musketry shot fired by chiefs accidentally struck his face as he repositioned himself at the event.
Sources confirmed that one eye is now permanently damaged, while the other suffers from blurred vision.
“He’s now in Dubai seeing to restoring the one eye that is blurry. But it looks like the other one cannot see again,” a source disclosed.
The accident has drawn attention to safety protocols during traditional ceremonies involving musketry.
