Dr. Jonathan Asante Otchere, Senior Lecturer and Political Analyst at the University of Cape Coast, has praised the recent oral presentation made to President John Dramani Mahama on February 10, 2025, describing it as both “comforting and reassuring.”
Speaking on ABC News GH, Otchere expressed confidence that the President would take swift action against any appointees found guilty of corruption, emphasizing that such actions would benefit the country’s political landscape.
He also discussed the ongoing investigations, highlighting the need for thorough scrutiny of high-profile cases and questioned the political motivations behind some dropped cases under the previous administration.
In addition, Otchere criticized the Minority’s refusal to engage in the Vetting Chaos probe, calling it a “bad faith” move that undermines transparency and accountability in the investigation process.
He urged the opposition to work on regaining public trust through more responsible actions.
