The National Service Authority (NSA) has announced the deployment of 13,700 trained teachers to various educational institutions across Ghana as part of the 2025/2026 National Service program.
In a press release signed by NSA Director-General Felix Gyamfi, the authority confirmed that the first batch of trained teachers from accredited Teacher Training Colleges has been posted to schools nationwide. The deployment is aimed at addressing staffing gaps, particularly in rural and underserved communities.
All deployed service personnel are required to visit the NSA website, www.nss.gov.gh, to check their placements and print their appointment letters for endorsement by their assigned institutions.
Additionally, personnel must complete their regional validation processes at designated NSA centers between March 26 and April 11, 2025, before officially commencing their service on April 2, 2025.
The NSA reiterated that, under the National Service Authority Act 1119 (2024), all Ghanaian citizens aged 18 and above who have completed an accredited tertiary institution are mandated to undertake national service.
The Authority emphasized its commitment to strengthening partnerships with the Ghana Education Service (GES), the Conference of Heads of Assisted Secondary Schools (CHASS), and private educational institutions to enhance learning outcomes nationwide.
The deployment is expected to significantly improve teaching capacity, particularly in schools with staff shortages, and contribute to advancing quality education in Ghana.
