Organisers of the Telecel Ghana Music Awards (TGMA) have announced a late change of venue for the 27th edition of the awards ceremony, which is set to take place on Saturday, May 9, 2026.
The event, which was earlier scheduled to be held at the Palms Convention Centre at the La Palm Beach Hotel, will now take place at the Grand Arena at the Accra International Conference Centre.

Although organisers have not provided an official explanation for the sudden switch, the decision effectively returns the prestigious ceremony to a venue long regarded as its traditional home. The Grand Arena has, over the years, hosted several editions of the awards and remains synonymous with some of Ghana’s most prominent entertainment showcases.
Industry observers note that the venue is well-equipped to accommodate the scale and technical demands of the awards, particularly in terms of staging, audience capacity, and production quality.
The 2026 edition of the TGMA is expected to bring together key stakeholders in the music industry, including top artistes, producers, and executives. The night will feature live performances, major award presentations, and appearances from some of the country’s most celebrated acts.
With the return to a familiar venue, anticipation continues to build among fans and industry players as preparations intensify ahead of the weekend’s main event.
