The labour movement in Ghana has been thrown into mourning following the death of Isaac Bampoe Addo, the Executive Secretary of the Civil and Local Government Staff Association of Ghana (CLOGSAG).
Sources close to the association confirmed that Mr. Bampoe Addo passed away on Friday, August 21, 2026, following a brief illness.

In the course of his work, Dr Bampoe Addo played a prominent role in the association’s negotiations, industrial actions and engagements on labour-related matters.
He was also involved in the development of CLOGSAG’s institutional policies and advocated for the interests and welfare of members of the association.
