An Accra High Court has ordered the immediate restoration of the No. 1 Oxford Street Hotel to Keningston Residential Partners 1 Limited, reversing the takeover of the property carried out in July.
The ruling, delivered on Friday, August 21, 2026, by Justice John-Mark Nuku Alifo, found that the July 23 takeover by Nii Amanor Dodoo and Cola Holdings Limited was unlawful and contravened the rules of the Court of Appeal.
The property is linked to business mogul Nana Kwame Bediako, popularly known as Cheddar.
As part of the orders, the court directed the respondents to surrender possession of the hotel and return all keys and access codes associated with the property.
They were also ordered to hand over financial records, books and monies taken into their custody following the takeover.
Handover to be supervised by Registrar
Justice Nuku Alifo directed that the restoration of the property be carried out under the supervision of the High Court Registrar.
The court further ordered the parties to undertake a joint inventory of the hotel, its assets and other items currently in the respondents’ possession as part of the handover process.
In addition, the respondents have been given seven days to provide full financial accounts relating to the receivership of the property.
The ruling effectively overturns the July 23 takeover and restores Keningston Residential Partners 1 Limited’s possession of the No. 1 Oxford Street Hotel, subject to any further legal action arising from the dispute.
