The Member of Parliament for Ablekuma West, Rev. Kweku Addo, has cut sod for the construction of an 18-unit classroom block at Ebenezer Senior High School in the constituency.
The project will help address the school’s infrastructural needs and provide a more conducive environment for teaching and learning.
Speaking at the sod-cutting ceremony, Rev. Addo described the occasion as significant, saying Ebenezer SHS has become an integral part of the history and identity of the Ablekuma West Constituency.
He noted that the school, founded in 1941 by the late Robert Teiko Ayii, had grown from humble beginnings into an institution that has educated and shaped generations of Ghanaians.
“This is a story of faith, perseverance, and service. The name Ebenezer reminds me of the words in 1st Samuel 7:12. Looking at the journey of this school and how far it has come, we can say with gratitude, the Lord has helped us,” he stated.
Rev. Addo recalled that during the school’s 84th anniversary celebration last year, he pledged his support towards the development of the school.
He also called on the government, Corporate Ghana and old students to join hands in mobilising the resources needed to support the continued development of Ebenezer SHS.
The 18-unit classroom block will add to the school’s existing infrastructure and improve the learning environment for students and teachers.
