The Ghana Police Service has arrested four suspects following a brutal attack at Oyarifa during the Homowo festival, leaving three individuals severely injured.
The suspects—Latif Bako, Ebenezer Ewuzie, Stephen Owusu, and Ebenezer Adjei—allegedly led the assault, which escalated into violent chaos on Saturday, September 7.
A police statement on Facebook revealed that the attackers, alongside other accomplices, inflicted machete wounds on the victims.
“The victims, together with suspect Ebenezer Adjei, who also sustained injuries, are currently receiving medical attention,” the statement disclosed. While three of the suspects are in custody, the police are actively pursuing others involved in the attack.
Authorities have vowed to apprehend the remaining culprits and warned the public that any disturbances to the peace will result in strict legal consequences.
Investigations are still ongoing, as the suspects assist the police in identifying their accomplices.
