Flagbearer of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), John Dramani Mahama has called on Ghanaians to vote out the governing New Patriotic Party (NPP) in the upcoming 2024 general elections.
The former President made this clarion call while on a working visit in the Ayawaso West Wuogan Constituency on Thursday, July 18 as part of his regional campaign activities in the Greater Accra region.
Addressing a crowd of enthusiastic supporters, Mahama emphasized the need for a change in leadership to address the myriad of challenges facing the nation.
He argued that the policies by the governing administration have not only failed to improve the lives of ordinary Ghanaians but have also exacerbated poverty and unemployment.
“The NPP [New Patriotic Party] does not understand the gravity of the economic hardships Ghanaians are in. The best signal we can send to the world that we are ready for a turnaround is to the vote the NPP out,” he stated.
He added, “A vote for the NPP in the 2024 elections is a vote for the third term of Nana Akufo-Addo”.
The former president also highlighted his party’s plans to revitalize the economy, create jobs, and improve healthcare and education if elected. He assured the public that an NDC government would focus on transparency, accountability, and inclusive growth.
