President Akufo-Addo is set to commence his campaign tour for the New Patriotic Party (NPP) 2024 presidential election on October 2, 2024.
With just 65 days to the December 7 polls, the President will be joined by Vice President Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, running mate Dr. Matthew Opoku Prempeh, and all NPP parliamentary candidates from the 276 constituencies.
The tour is expected to begin in the Upper East and Upper West Regions as part of his strategy to canvass support across the nation.
Sources indicate that the President’s campaign will cover all 16 regions before the election.
However, the tour will be briefly interrupted on October 3, as President Akufo-Addo leaves for official engagements in France and Germany. Upon his return, he is expected to resume the regional campaign, highlighting key party messages to shore up support for the NPP’s 2024 ticket.
Meanwhile, Dr. Bawumia and Dr. Opoku Prempeh have been actively rallying support across various constituencies over the past months.
Currently, Dr. Bawumia is focusing his campaign efforts in the Western Region, while Dr. Opoku Prempeh is engaging voters in the Ashanti Region, laying the groundwork for a robust NPP campaign presence ahead of the elections.
