The Attorney-General and Minister for Justice, Dr. Dominic Ayine, is set to brief the media today, Monday, March 24, on ongoing investigations and actions taken under the Operation Recover All Loot (ORAL) initiative.
This was disclosed by the Minister of Government Communications, Felix Kwakye Ofosu, in a social media post.
The briefing comes in the wake of the ORAL Committee’s report, which was submitted to President John Dramani Mahama in February. The report details over 2,000 complaints of suspected corruption, underscoring the scale of financial misconduct under investigation.
In response, President Mahama directed Dr. Ayine to launch immediate investigations, emphasizing that Ghana will no longer be a safe haven for corruption.
The ORAL initiative is part of the government’s broader effort to combat corruption and recover state funds lost through fraudulent activities. The media briefing is expected to provide updates on the progress of these investigations and outline the next steps in ensuring accountability and justice.
