President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo has praised Vice President Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia for his unwavering loyalty and dedication to the New Patriotic Party (NPP) and the nation.
Speaking to chiefs and opinion leaders in Wa, Akufo-Addo lauded Bawumia’s commitment, highlighting that their nearly two-decade partnership has proven the vice president’s reliability.
The president emphasized that Bawumia has played a key role in the government’s successes, calling him a dependable and capable leader.
“I have worked with Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia for almost 20 years, and I have never had a reason to question his loyalty or commitment to our shared goals.
His dedication to the nation has been steadfast, and I believe that a vote for Bawumia is a vote for loyalty and progress,” Akufo-Addo stated. He urged Ghanaians to back Bawumia in the 2024 presidential elections, assuring them that he is the best candidate to further the NPP’s developmental agenda.
Akufo-Addo expressed confidence that Bawumia would continue the party’s mission of economic growth and national development.
In a direct critique of opposition leader John Dramani Mahama, Akufo-Addo questioned Mahama’s recent comments about the symbolic importance of the number 8, a reference to the upcoming election cycle.
“I see the former president talking about the number 8 as if it guarantees his victory. But breaking the 8 is not just about numbers; it’s about leadership, loyalty, and delivering on promises. That is why I believe Bawumia is the right man to break the 8,” the president concluded, urging voters to choose progress over rhetoric.
