The Electoral Commission (EC) is “fully ready” for the upcoming December 7 general elections, Deputy Chairman in charge of Corporate Services, Dr. Bossman Asare, has announced.
Speaking on Joy News on November 19, Dr. Asare highlighted the Commission’s progress, assuring the public that all preparations are well on track.
With just 17 days to go, he emphasized that key milestones have been met, placing the EC in a strong position to deliver a credible election.
Dr. Asare expressed confidence in the EC’s operational readiness, noting that critical processes such as the printing and distribution of ballot papers have been completed ahead of schedule.
“I wouldn’t only say we are ready; we are fully ready,” he stated, adding that preparations for both the special voting on December 2 and the main elections on December 7 are firmly in place.
According to him, the Commission has consistently stayed ahead of its timeline, ensuring a seamless electoral process.
The Deputy Chairman also lauded Ghanaians for their enthusiasm and readiness to participate in the elections.
He reiterated the EC’s commitment to conducting a transparent and efficient electoral process, ensuring that every eligible voter has the opportunity to exercise their civic duty.
“I believe that the good people of this country are also very, very much ready for the election,” Dr. Asare added, projecting a smooth and peaceful voting experience nationwide.
