Dr. Hassan Ayariga, Founder and Flagbearer of the All Peoples Congress (APC), has announced his intention to debate the two major political parties in Ghana ahead of the December 7th, 2024 general elections.
Speaking today at the official unveiling of his running mate, Rev. Dr. Samuel Worlanyo Mensah, Ayariga criticized the current economic conditions, stating that the country’s future leaders have turned to gambling due to financial instability.
“The future of our country has turned to a gambling economy, because those kids supposed to be Doctors, Engineers, Professors, Lawyers are using their school fees to gamble. So we are going to lose all these professionals in the future,” he lamented.
Ayariga also pointed out that even workers are being drawn into gambling as a result of the economic strain.
“Now these same people are coming back for power. They have failed us yet they running 24hours looking for power.
“We will debate them, we want to debate them, i want to debate them”
He directed his criticism at the incumbent parties, claiming that they are responsible for the current state of the economy.
“Now these same people are coming back for power. They have failed us yet they are running 24 hours looking for power,” he asserted.
In his address, Ayariga emphasized the APC’s role as a viable alternative to the ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP) and the National Democratic Congress (NDC).
He urged citizens to consider APC as the “third force” in Ghanaian politics.
“Make us the third force because we are the third force for you. We have made our decision; it is your (citizen) turn to make the decision. If you vote for Hassan Ayariga and the APC, the NDC will not win, and the NPP will also not win,” he said.
Ayariga concluded with an appeal to voters who may feel disillusioned with the current political landscape.
“A vote for APC is a vote for your family; it’s never a wasted vote,” he encouraged.
