The Ghana Armed Forces (GAF) has successfully evacuated three Ghanaian traders who sustained injuries in a terrorist attack in Burkina Faso.
According to a press release issued by the Department of Public Relations at the General Headquarters, Burma Camp, Accra, the evacuation, which forms part of the government’s coordinated humanitarian and security response, carried out on Tuesday, February 17, 2026, by the Ghana Air Force, to ensure the safety of its citizens in the wake of the attack.

The injured traders have since been transported to the 37 Military Hospital in Accra for further medical assessment and treatment.

The Armed Forces also extended its sympathies to families affected by the attack.
“The Ghana Armed Forces extends its deepest condolences to the bereaved families, prays for the repose of the souls of the deceased and wishes the injured speedy recovery,” the statement concluded.
