Ghana’s U-16 girls’ national team, the Black Damsels, put on another commanding display in the UEFA Development Tournament, securing a dominant 5-0 victory over Northern Ireland.
Building on their impressive 8-1 triumph over host nation Malta, Ghana once again showcased their attacking brilliance and tactical discipline, overwhelming their opponents from the opening whistle.
Priscilla Mensah set the tone early, finding the back of the net in the 16th minute with a well-placed finish. Just ten minutes later, she doubled her tally, strengthening Ghana’s control of the game.
The Black Damsels continued to pile pressure on Northern Ireland, and Seidatu Wahab added a third goal before halftime, putting the result beyond doubt.
Ghana remained relentless in the second half, with Daniella Abass getting on the scoresheet to make it 4-0, before Gloria Adomako Ameaa wrapped up the emphatic win with a fifth goal.
With back-to-back victories and 13 goals scored in two games, the young Ghanaian side has proven their attacking prowess, establishing themselves as strong contenders in the tournament.
