The flagbearer of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), John Dramani Mahama, has accused the New Patriotic Party (NPP) government of operating a covert fake news operation aimed at spreading misinformation to tarnish his image.
During a visit to the Asantehene, Otumfuo Osei Tutu II on Tuesday, November 3, as part of his campaign tour in the Ashanti Region, Mahama alleged that this disinformation campaign is part of a deliberate strategy to undermine his credibility ahead of the 2024 elections.
Addressing specific claims, Mahama urged the Asantehene to disregard reports accusing him of orchestrating an attack on his convoy in Techiman. He dismissed such allegations as baseless and intended to sow discord.
Meanwhile, the Asantehene, Otumfuo Osei Tutu II, has stated that there is no strained relationship between the National Democratic Congress (NDC) and the Manhyia Palace.
Addressing the NDC Presidential entourage and Candidate, John Mahama, the Asantehene clarified, “It is not true that the NDC is not on good terms with Manhyia.
