The GTech Community Stadium in West London, home to Premier League side Brentford FC, has been officially confirmed as the host venue for the much-anticipated 2025 Unity Cup, set to take place in May.

This international tournament, which brings together four footballing giants from Africa and the Caribbean—Ghana, Nigeria, Jamaica, and Trinidad & Tobago—will deliver a week-long celebration of football, culture, and community spirit in the heart of London.

Branded as “The Best in the West – The Afro Classico Contest,” the Unity Cup will showcase regional rivalries through two blockbuster semi-final clashes. The event promises to unite fans from across the globe in what is being billed as a festival of football and identity.

Fixtures Overview

Tuesday, May 27: The tournament kicks off with a Caribbean derby as Trinidad & Tobago face off against Jamaica in their first-ever meeting on UK soil—a historic moment expected to produce fireworks both on and off the pitch.

Wednesday, May 28: Attention turns to a West African showdown between Ghana and Nigeria, two nations with rich football legacies and massive diasporic followings in London. With deep-rooted rivalry and pride at stake, the match is tipped to be one of the most electric fixtures of the year.

Saturday, May 31: The Unity Cup concludes with a double-header—a third-place playoff followed by the grand finale to decide the 2025 champions.

Beyond the football, the Unity Cup aims to be a cultural showcase, highlighting the shared heritage and diversity of African and Caribbean communities in the UK. Organizers are preparing a full fan experience, including live music, traditional cuisine, and community activations at the 17,000-seater stadium.

The tournament marks a major return of the Unity Cup to London, with excitement already building among football fans and cultural enthusiasts alike. With world-class players, passionate supporters, and vibrant atmospheres, the 2025 Unity Cup promises to be a standout event on the global football calendar.
