Richard Komadoe, a Security Consultant claims Commissioner of Police (COP), Christian Tetteh Yohuno is over qualified for his new appointment as the Inspector General of Police (IGP) in charge of operations.
Speaking in an interview with ABC News Ghana, Komadoe addressed comments of the appointment and timing of Yohuno, saying that the timing of the COPs appointment is not a problem.
“He is over qualified.
“Police proffessionalism, compitence as an IGP, best practices, he has it all. I don’t think the timming is a problem. He will work within the team and make sure he perform as the Deputy IGP.
“I also think they are preparing Dampare to go so he (Christian Tetteh Yohuno) will take over,” Richard Komadoe
However, he explained that it is not in the place of the president to appoint Deputy IGP and assigning designations such as ‘In charge of operations’
According to him, that brings some conflict of interest and can create suppression and undermining in the space.
