Former President and flagbearer for the National Democratic Congress (NDC), John Dramani Mahama has promised to construct a new secondary school in the Ayawaso West Wuogon constituency if elected President in the upcoming 2024 general election.
The former President, who embarked on a working visit in the constituency today, Thursday July 18, made this declaration during a community engagement. He emphasized the importance of education in national development and reiterated his commitment to improving educational facilities across the country.
Addressing the audience in a mini-gathering, he said, “I will establish a Day-Secondary school in the Ayawaso West Wuogon constituency when voted into office, come December 7. Education remains one of the cornerstone of our nation’s progress.”
He further charged the electorates to vote out the governing New Patriotic Party (NPP) in the upcoming 2024 general elections, stating that the ruling NPP government have failed woefully to improve the lives of ordinary Ghanaians.
“The NPP [New Patriotic Party] does not understand the gravity of the economic hardships Ghanaians are in. The best signal we can send to the world that we are ready for a turnaround is to the vote the NPP out,” he stated.
