Louisa Buabeng, an independent parliamentary candidate for the Effutu constituency, has been remanded into police custody by the Winneba High Court.
The ruling, delivered by Her Ladyship Justice Marriam Agyeman Gyasi Jawhary on Thursday, November 28, 2024, follows her re-arrest the previous evening.
Buabeng was initially apprehended on November 20, 2024, after attending a court hearing related to an election matter she had filed.
According to reports from Citi News, Buabeng’s re-arrest came after the discovery of several voter identification cards at the residence of one of her aides.
The aide has since been charged with unlawful possession of documents, while Buabeng faces charges of conspiracy to commit a crime.
