The National Democratic Congress (NDC) has declared its intent to use its majority win in the December 7 general elections as a springboard for national progress.
Speaking at a press briefing on Sunday, December 8, at the party’s headquarters, NDC General Secretary Fifi Fiavi Kwetey affirmed the party’s commitment to responsible governance.
“We have secured a very significant majority and a majority that we aim to use responsibly and for the progress of the people of Ghana,” he stated, emphasizing the NDC’s readiness to lead with transparency and accountability.
Urging the Electoral Commission (EC) to expedite the declaration of results, Kwetey expressed confidence in the outcome of the elections, describing it as decisive and undeniable.
“The process as far as the presidential result is also concerned, we will urge the chairperson of the Electoral Commission, Jean Mensa, and her team to make sure the declaration is not unduly delayed because we know for a fact that nothing can be done about it because it is already in the bag,” he said.
The NDC’s leadership reaffirmed their dedication to harnessing their victory to drive national development, promising to prioritize the needs of Ghanaians.
As the party awaits the official announcement of presidential results, it remains focused on ensuring that the transition reflects the will of the people.
