Security analyst and consultant Dr. Franklyn Kwasi Binney has emphasized that the National Security must be cautious in their operations to ensure peace prevails in the country.
He stated that the practice of party politics must end, urging the shift towards democratic politics to foster stability and peace in the nation.
“Its not the best, we must follow the constitution, we must follow the rule of law as its stipulates …,” he said.
Dr. Franklyn Kwasi Binney has also called on the National Security officials to ensure due process is followed before raiding former government officials’ residences.
This comes after reports of recent raids on the private residences of some government officials, which were allegedly carried out without warrants or any explanations.
He argued that while the national security agencies have the right to investigate suspected wrongdoing, they must do so lawfully, by securing a warrant, identifying themselves clearly, and respecting the rights of individuals involved.
