The Member of Parliament representing Tamale South, Haruna Iddrisu, has asserted that the return of former President John Dramani Mahama to the presidency holds substantial insights that will positively impact the Ghanaian economy.
“I have said that former President Mahama is coming back to the throne with two important insights and one important hindsight. He has been President, and he is being outside as a non-President, and he will combine the two to change the destiny of this country.”
Urging Ghanaians to rally behind Mr. Mahama in the 2024 elections, he passionately appealed for massive support, expressing confidence that the National Democratic Congress (NDC) flagbearer would change the country for good.
These sentiments were conveyed by the former Minority Leader on December 28 during a ceremony where he was conferred with a chieftaincy title, Sugru-Lana, Chief of Patience, by the paramount chief of Nakpanduri, Naba David Kansuk Na Golbila II, and his sub-chiefs at the palace. Haruna Iddrisu additionally called upon the local chiefs and residents to cast their votes for NDC MPs, emphasizing that their support would contribute to Mr. Mahama’s efforts in bringing about the desired change in both the local area and Ghana as a whole.
He pledged to continue to exercise the utmost restraint and patience in his attempt to contribute to the public interest and the overall development of Ghana.
