Richard Gyamfi, a member of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) Communications team, has assured that the National Democratic Congress (NDC) will not be able to hide contracts or legislative decisions despite holding the majority in the upcoming 9th Parliament.
Speaking on ABC IN THE MORNING on Friday, December 13, 2024, Gyamfi emphasized that although the NDC may have a majority, the NPP minority will hold them accountable and ensure transparency in all parliamentary dealings.
“The business of Parliament will be done well,” Gyamfi said in an interview.
“They cannot conceal the business in Parliament. The super majority will account to nothing.”
He expressed confidence that the NPP minority would ensure that no bill or contract goes unexamined, asserting that they will not be bullied by the NDC majority.
“If they think they are a super minority and will bully us, they should rethink again,” Gyamfi added.
“We will make sure all business comes to light.” His comments underscore the NPP’s commitment to thorough scrutiny of all legislative processes in the next Parliament.
