The Ghana Education Service (GES) has issued a strong warning to all 2025 WASSCE candidates against relying on leaked exam questions, commonly referred to as ‘apor’.
At a press conference, the Acting Director-General of the GES, Professor Ernest Kofi Davis, cautioned students that there will be no room for examination malpractice this year, urging them to focus on genuine academic preparation.
“Ensure that they do independent work, as this year there will be no apor,” Prof. Davis stated. He further emphasized that any candidate found engaging in exam fraud would face strict sanctions.
The GES is working closely with the West African Examinations Council (WAEC) to monitor, detect, and prevent any attempts to compromise the integrity of the exams.
This warning comes at a time when WAEC and education stakeholders are intensifying security and surveillance measures around examination centers nationwide.
Recent years have seen major examination leaks, resulting in cancelled papers and disciplinary actions.
With over 400,000 candidates expected to sit for the 2025 WASSCE, the GES is reaffirming its zero-tolerance stance on malpractice while encouraging students to approach their studies with integrity and discipline.
