Dr. Stephen Kwabena Opuni, the former CEO of COCOBOD, has broken his silence following the state’s decision to drop all charges against him and businessman Seidu Agongo.
In an emotional declaration, Dr. Opuni stated, “The living God I serve has disgraced and has cursed my enemies, my persecutors, and all my destiny haters.”
The legal battle, which spanned years, saw the duo face 27 charges, including defrauding by false pretenses, willfully causing financial loss to the state, and corruption by public officers.
The charges were linked to the procurement and application of Lithovit fertilizer under Dr. Opuni’s tenure at COCOBOD.
The state’s decision to abandon the case has sparked both celebrations and controversies, with critics questioning the rationale behind the move.
Dr. Opuni, however, remains steadfast, attributing his vindication to divine intervention.
