The Ghana National Fire Service (GNFS) has revealed that its swift interventions led to the salvage of properties valued at over GHS 203 million during the first half of 2025.
This figure, captured in the Service’s Comparative Fire Trend Report covering January to June 2025, reflects the growing efficiency of fire response operations across the country.
The salvaged assets include residential, commercial, and industrial properties that were successfully protected from total destruction during fire outbreaks.
The GNFS credits this achievement to improved logistics, faster response times, and enhanced public education on fire safety practices.
“Our men and women on the ground have been working diligently, and the results are showing. We are now able to prevent more losses than ever before,” an official source at the Service stated.
The fire service continues to strengthen its regional and district command capacities to further minimize the impact of fire outbreaks.
The Service has also emphasized the importance of community cooperation in ensuring fire safety.
Through its fire safety education campaigns and community engagement activities, the GNFS says many households and businesses are now better equipped to respond to fire emergencies even before firefighters arrive.
The Service assured the public that it remains committed to protecting lives and property across Ghana.
