President John Dramani Mahama is expected to officially launch the Adwumawura programme today, Monday, April 28, 2025, in the Ashanti Region.
The initiative, a major promise under the government’s 120-day social contract, is designed to support the creation of at least 10,000 businesses annually, with a strong emphasis on youth empowerment.
According to the government, the programme aims to directly tackle the country’s unemployment challenges by equipping young Ghanaians with the necessary tools and support to start and grow their own businesses.
In addition to the Adwumawura programme, President Mahama will also launch two other critical initiatives later this week: the Ghana Medical Trust Fund (Mahama Cares) and the National Apprenticeship Programme.
These programmes are part of a broader government strategy to strengthen healthcare financing and enhance skills development across the country.
