Richard Ahiagbah, Communications Director of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), is receiving positive treatment after being involved in a serious accident near Konongo, the party has confirmed.
The incident occurred early Saturday morning at around 1:30 am on the Kumasi-Accra highway near Aduapompo, while Ahiagbah was en route to Kumasi for a scheduled programme. Preliminary reports indicate that Ahiagbah was the sole occupant of his vehicle when it collided with an articulated truck.
In a statement dated Sunday, July 28, the General Secretary of the NPP, Justin Kodua Frimpong, said, “Mr. Ahiagba is in a stable condition and is responding positively to treatment.
The attending doctors have advised limiting visitors to ensure Mr. Ahiagbah receives adequate rest during his recovery.”
The NPP expressed its sincere gratitude to Ghanaians for their outpouring of prayers and well wishes for its Communications Director, noting the overwhelming love and support shown by the public.
