Antoine Semenyo is expected to make his final appearance in a Bournemouth shirt on Wednesday night when the Cherries face Tottenham Hotspur, before completing his anticipated move to Manchester City.
The 25-year-old Ghana international has remained part of Bournemouth’s matchday plans despite advanced negotiations with the Premier League champions. An understanding was reached between all parties that Semenyo would feature in key fixtures against Chelsea, Arsenal and Spurs before sealing his transfer to the Etihad Stadium.
Having already played against Chelsea and Arsenal, the midweek clash with Tottenham is now set to mark the end of his time on the south coast. Following that encounter, formal steps are expected to be taken to conclude the deal, with paperwork and final approvals to bring the transfer over the line.
Semenyo’s impending departure closes an important chapter for Bournemouth, where his performances have attracted elite-level interest, and opens a new phase in his career as he prepares to link up with Pep Guardiola’s side.
