The Speaker of Parliament, Alban Sumana Kingsford Bagbin, has officially sworn in the first-ever Committee on Security and Intelligence under Order 258 (4) of the new Standing Orders of Parliament. This historic committee was inaugurated following the revised parliamentary regulations that took effect in January 2024.
During the swearing-in ceremony, Speaker Bagbin congratulated the members and urged them to approach their duties with diligence and caution. He emphasized the sensitive and critical nature of security issues, not only for Parliament but also for the entire nation of Ghana.
