The Operation Recover All Loot (ORAL) Committee, established by President John Mahama to investigate alleged corruption cases, has officially submitted its final report, documenting 2,417 complaints from citizens.
Chairman of the Committee, Okudzeto Ablakwa, revealed that the complaints were received through a toll-free hotline (1,493 cases) and email (924 cases), all carefully documented for verification.
Speaking on Prime News on ABC News GH, anti-corruption campaigner Edem Senanu commended the Committee’s work, particularly its approach in keeping complainants anonymous to protect whistleblowers and encourage more reports.
“This encourages citizens,” he said, applauding the initiative.
However, while he acknowledged the effectiveness of the Committee, he cautioned that cases should be scrutinized further before action is taken.
“This has worked well, but they need further scrutiny before taking actions on them.”
