The Ministry of Tourism, Culture and Creative Arts has strongly refuted allegations circulating on social media that question the conduct and professionalism of sector Minister, Abla Dzifa Gomashie.
In a statement signed by the Ministry’s Head of Public Relations, Delassie Mabel Awuku, the claims—made by a social media personality—were described as “false narratives” that are both baseless and misleading.
“These assertions, portraying the Minister as disrespectful and unprofessional, are not only wholly unfounded but also gravely misleading,” the Ministry stated.
It emphasised that such allegations misrepresent a public servant who has consistently demonstrated humility, dedication, and tireless service toward the cultural advancement of Ghana.
The statement further highlighted Minister Gomashie’s track record of respectful engagement with stakeholders and her unwavering commitment to promoting the nation’s cultural heritage.
Describing the claims as “a regrettable attempt to tarnish this reputation,” the Ministry warned that such attacks undermine the broader goals of the creative sector.
It urged the public to reject content creators who prioritise “sensationalism over truth” and called for an unqualified apology for the “blatant lies peddled” against the Minister and the Ministry’s directors.
“We remain committed to transparency and welcome constructive dialogue—but we will not tolerate falsehoods that seek to divide and distract,” the statement concluded.
