Tragedy has struck the Ada Foah community as two students of Ada Senior High School in the Volta Region have drowned in a nearby river.
The students, who are yet to be identified, were believed to be fetching water from a river, due to some water challenges faced by the community as a result of the devastating impact caused by the Akosombo Dam spillage in the region.
According to tweet by a local folk, students have had to travel some distance by road to fetch water from the Volta River in the past few days.
The news of their untimely death has left the community in shock and mourning as they call on the government to quickly come to their aid.
