The Parliamentary Committee investigating the chaotic disruptions during the January 30 vetting session has suspended its proceedings indefinitely, throwing the probe into uncertainty.
The Committee’s Chairman, Emmanuel Bedzrah, made the unexpected announcement, revealing that the decision came on the directive of the Clerk of Parliament, Ebenezer Ahumah Djietror.
Bedzrah explained that the Clerk had informed the Committee that the Speaker of Parliament would provide further guidance on the next steps before any progress could be made.
The announcement came while the Committee was still in session, catching members off guard and raising questions about the motivations behind the suspension.
The indefinite halt has already sparked concerns among political observers, with some questioning whether the delay is an attempt to shield key figures from scrutiny.
