Eyewitness accounts indicate that the crowd attempted to forcefully enter the GNGCL premises, leading to a confrontation with security personnel.
In an effort to disperse the gathering and restore calm, warning shots were fired by the security forces.

According to some eye witness, it took about the Police about 3 hours to get to the scene.
