Finance minister, Mohammed Amin Adams has indicated that 169 factories under the government’s flagship One District One Factory (IDIF) programme have been completed and fully functioning.
Addressing the media at a town hall meeting in Accra today, the minister said the 1D1F programme has contributed to Ghana’s export exchange.
“One of the reasons we are exporting more is 1D1F but that is not the only reason we are exporting”, he stated.
The 1D1F programme which was launched in 2017 under the first term of Akufo-Addo’s government has yet to be fully implemented across the 261 districts of the country.
The programme was meant to make Ghana an industrial hub and promote the manufacturing and export of finished and semi-finished goods.
