Residents of Sabronum Habitat in the Ahafo Ano South East District of the Ashanti Region have appealed to authorities to urgently provide the community with access to a functioning toilet facility.
According to the residents, an ultra-modern public toilet facility was constructed in the area nearly seven years ago under the previous government administration, but it has still not been opened for public use.

The residents say the continued closure of the facility has forced many community members to resort to open defecation in nearby bushes, while others rely on toilet facilities at a nearby government school after school hours.

Community members have expressed concern over the health and safety risks associated with the situation, noting that the abandoned toilet facility has become overgrown with bush and is surrounded by snakes and other dangerous reptiles.
They further revealed that several complaints have been made to local authorities, including Assembly Members and the Chief of the Sabronum Traditional Council, Nana Kofi Asante, but no concrete steps have been taken to address the issue.

The residents are therefore calling on the Member of Parliament for the area, Hon. Yakubu Mohammed, the District Chief Executive, Hon. Yaba Nelson Ibrahim, Assembly Member for the Abofour Kwaso Electoral Area, Hon. M.K., as well as the central government, to intervene and ensure the facility is opened and made operational for the benefit of the community.
