The Minority Caucus in Parliament has issued an official statement condemning the recent violence at Ablekuma North and naming two senior NDC officials in connection with the incident.

In a document signed by Minority Leader Alexander Afenyo-Markin, the caucus alleged that Malik Basintale and Mustapha Gbande led individuals described as ‘NDC thugs’ in the attack on MP Hawa Koomson.
The statement, released today, has intensified political tensions following the chaotic scenes at the Methodist 1 polling station.
The minority accused the two NDC figures of undermining the integrity of the electoral process.
The caucus also called on security agencies to investigate the matter thoroughly.
The accusations have since drawn responses from both individuals, particularly Mustapha Gbande, who has publicly denied the allegations.
