Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia has called on members of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) to demonstrate true unity as the party positions itself for victory in the 2028 general elections.
“To win in 2028, we must not just talk unity but live it,” he stressed, highlighting that genuine collaboration is essential to defeating the opposition.
Speaking after filing his nomination at the NPP headquarters today, Dr. Bawumia assured the party that his leadership would be based on peace and inclusiveness.
“I will not do anything to create a problem for the NPP, I embody unity,” he noted, adding that experience will be critical for the party in the next election cycle. “If we want to win the 2028 election, we must not start afresh, we need experience,” he emphasized.
He reminded members that the opposition, not internal factions, should be the real focus of their political battles.
“Our true opponent is not within but out there,” Dr. Bawumia said, warning against the dangers of infighting.
