The Executive Director of Eduwatch Ghana, Mr. Kofi Asare, has commenced a month-long distribution of 10,000 exercise books to needy students in selected public basic schools in Nanton, Tolon, and La Nkwatanang Madina.
This comes on the back of the 2023 Eduwatch’s Textbooks Tracking Report, which identified many needy pupils without exercise books in class. In view of this, the executive director, Kofi Asare, donated some exercise books to local schools to mark his 45th birthday anniversary.
In a Facebook post, he said, “I am grateful for the support of my friends-Ras Lakle, Frank Kofi Ayivor, Abena Kumiwa Addo, Katakyie Nana Osei-Mainoo, and School for Life—for assisting with the distribution up north.”
This initiative is expected to provide essential learning materials to students who may not have access to adequate resources in efforts to support education and literacy among underprivileged students.
