Adjoa Obuobia Darko-Opoku has been named the Acting Deputy Managing Director of the Ghana Airports Company Limited (GACL).
Expressing her gratitude to President John Dramani Mahama for the appointment, she described the role as both an honor and a call to service.
“Thank you, President John Dramani Mahama, for your trust and confidence. I am deeply honored, sir,” she stated.
She emphasized the pivotal role of GACL in Ghana’s economic and infrastructural development, noting that the company is a key driver of trade, tourism, and investment.
Acknowledging the immense responsibility of her new position, Darko-Opoku assured that she would work with her colleagues to maintain Ghana’s airports as world-class and efficient.
“I step into this role fully aware of its immense responsibility, and I am ready, working with my colleagues, to give my utmost to ensure that our airports remain efficient and world-class,” she affirmed.
She further pledged to contribute to advancing President Mahama’s vision for Ghana’s aviation sector, aiming to enhance its global competitiveness and elevate the industry to greater heights.
