Isaac Wilberforce Mensah, the spokesperson of the Attorney General (AG) has issued a challenge to critics demanding evidence of any misconduct in the ongoing Ambulance Case trial.
Speaking on ABC Midday News, Mensah responded to the backlash following the AG’s announcement of an appeal against the Court of Appeals ruling that acquitted and discharged Dr. Cassiel Ato Forson, the Minority Leader, and Richard Jakpa, the third accused in the case.
The AG, Godfred Yeboah Dame, had previously expressed strong dissatisfaction with the appellate court’s decision.
In a statement Dame described the ruling as “grossly unfair to the nation” and detrimental to efforts against impunity and misuse of public office.
The AG’s stance reflects a deep-seated concern about perceived leniency in high-profile corruption cases.
In light of the appeal and the ensuing controversy, Mensah’s challenge emphasizes the AG’s commitment to pursuing justice.
He urged critics to substantiate their allegations of misconduct, reinforcing the AG’s position against what he describes as attempts to undermine the integrity of the legal process.
