Controversial evangelist and former fetish priestess, Patricia Asiedua Asiamah, widely known as Nana Agradaa, has been released from prison after spending eight months in custody.
The founder of the Heaven Way Church walked free from the Nsawam Medium Security Prison and has since reunited with her family. Her husband, Asiamah, announced her return in a Facebook post on Tuesday, March 3, expressing gratitude over her release. “Thank God my wife is finally home,” he wrote.
The evangelist also made her first public appearance today during a fellowship service with members of her church, marking her return to ministry after months of incarceration.
Nana Agradaa was originally handed a 15-year custodial sentence on July 3, 2025, following her conviction on charges of defrauding by false pretence and charlatanic advertisement. The ruling sparked public debate, with her legal representatives maintaining that the punishment did not fit the circumstances of the case.
Subsequently, the Amasaman High Court reviewed the sentence and reduced it to 12 calendar months, describing the earlier term as excessive.
Her release comes after benefiting from Ghana’s remission provisions, which allow inmates to be freed upon serving two-thirds of their sentence, provided they meet the required conditions.
With her return home now confirmed, attention turns to her next steps — both in ministry and in the public space — as she resumes life outside prison walls.
