The Member of Parliament for Salaga South, Hajia Zuwera Mohammed Ibrahimah, has undertaken an extensive tour of communities within her constituency, inspecting key development projects and engaging directly with residents.
The working visit, described by the MP as both productive and fulfilling, saw her assess a mix of ongoing and completed infrastructure initiatives aimed at improving education and healthcare delivery in the area.
Her first stop was along the Salaga–Kafaba road, where she inspected progress on a Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET) School of Excellence. She expressed satisfaction with the pace of work and commended contractors for maintaining quality standards, noting that the facility would provide critical practical skills to young people when completed.
At Salaga Senior High School, the MP met with school authorities and reviewed the proposed site for a new boys’ dormitory block. The project, secured through the Ministry of Education and the GETFund, is expected to commence soon and is aimed at addressing accommodation challenges in the school.
In Nikata, she visited a newly completed three-unit classroom block designed to serve both Nikata and nearby Kamabuwe. The facility includes offices, staff space, storage, and sanitation amenities. The MP welcomed the improvement, pointing out that pupils previously studied under poor conditions. She indicated that the school block would soon be officially commissioned.
The tour continued to Kayereso, where she inspected renovation works on a local clinic funded through her share of the National Health Insurance Authority allocation. She expressed optimism that the project would be completed on schedule to enhance healthcare services.
At Naamu, she assessed progress on another clinic project she facilitated, fulfilling a key request from residents ahead of the 2024 general elections. She reiterated her determination to deliver on campaign commitments that directly impact livelihoods.
A similar inspection was carried out in Matilapo, where another completed classroom block awaits commissioning, further boosting educational infrastructure in the constituency.
Beyond project inspections, the MP also interacted with residents at Water Works, where she updated them on ongoing initiatives and outlined future development plans. She thanked constituents for their continued support, describing it as a source of motivation.
As part of her visit, she paid a courtesy call on Yiram Kpembewura Banbange Ndefoso IV to mark his 57th birthday, offering prayers for his leadership and contributions to peace and development in the area.
The tour concluded in Yelwa with a meeting involving her women’s group, where discussions focused on pressing development needs, including education, healthcare, water supply, roads, sanitation, agriculture, and empowerment initiatives.
Reflecting on the day’s activities, the MP reaffirmed her commitment to serving the people of Salaga South with dedication and a focus on delivering tangible development outcomes.
