The Amenfi Central District Assembly, in collaboration with the Member of Parliament for Amenfi Central, Hon. Joana Gyan Cudjoe, has distributed Nkoko Nkitinkiti to farmers at Atta Ne Atta as part of efforts to promote poultry farming, improve livelihoods, and enhance agricultural productivity in the district.
The distribution exercise was led by the Presiding Member of the Amenfi Central District Assembly, Hon. Danis Ofori; the District Coordinating Director, Madam Lois; the District Coordinator for the Nkoko Nkitinkiti programme, Hon. Kwao Sakyim; and the NADMO Director for Amenfi Central, Hon. David Quarm, together with other party officials.
According to the organizers, the initiative forms part of the government’s broader strategy to empower local farmers, increase poultry production, and strengthen food security in line with the vision of the President of the Republic of Ghana, H.E. John Dramani Mahama.
The beneficiaries expressed appreciation for the support, describing the intervention as timely and beneficial to their farming activities. They noted that the programme is expected to increase local poultry production, create employment opportunities, and improve household incomes.
Special commendation was extended to the Member of Parliament for Amenfi Central, Hon. Joana Gyan Cudjoe, and Hon. Peter Amponsah for their continued commitment to the socio-economic development and well-being of the people of Amenfi Central.
The Nkoko Nkitinkiti initiative is one of several interventions aimed at revitalizing the agricultural sector and improving the livelihoods of farming communities across the district.
