Former Member of Parliament for South Tongu, Kobena Woyome has praised the National Intelligence Bureau for the work they have done so far.
He urged workers to be cautious in how they carry out their duties to avoid becoming embroiled in corruption, noting that institutions are now more alert and will not hesitate to hold those who violate the rules accountable.
However, he cautioned against quickly condemning any arrest that lacks solid factual grounding.
Kobena Woyome, has clarified that the National Intelligence Bureau (NIB) is not targeting any individuals in its operations.
He emphasized that the government is not using state institutions to pursue members or appointees of the previous administration.
Woyome denied claims that the government is retaliating or engaging in political equalisation.
His remarks follow assertions by the New Patriotic Party (NPP) that the government is targeting political appointees of the former government out of spite.
